About

Treahni are descendant from humans, and still retain the basic appearance. They have the most diverse ethnic groupings of any sapient species of Entorais. They spread out from two distinct geographic centres, and are considered separate families. The Arkian Peoples spread outward from central northern Annexa, and the Imperials who spread outward from what is now coastal Waejir.

Ethnic Sub-Groups

There are fifteen major ethnic sub-groups which trace their origins to either Arkian, or Imperial ancestors.

Anatu

The Anatu are a tribal people living east of the Darlom Mountains on the borders of what is Tabras.

Origins

The Anatu are descendants of the Arkian people. They migrated westward during the post God War period into the region they now occupy.

There are some minor cultural differences between the northern, Western and southern groups of the Anatu. these are miostly a result of geographic spread, and regional differences in terrain, and available resouces.
Geographic Distribution
The Anatu dwell in the forested region north of Tabras. some tribal groups of the Anatu dwell on Tabras' western border in the foothills of the Darlom Mountains, and south-west of Tabras in the Plains of Tekara.

Aralian

Aralians are the peoples now dwelling in the nation of Aralia, where they make up the majority of the population.

Origins

Aralians trace their origins to the Imperial peoples.

Most Aralians remain within the borders of Aralia, however anywhere that Aralian merchants visit tends to acquire a small community of Aralian immigrants over time, forming ethnic enclaves in most major port cities, and towns.

Corinthean

Corintheans are the majority population dwelling in the many city-states that form Corinthea,

Origins

Corintheans trace their roots to Imperial origins, and migrated westward over the mountains from what is now Waejir.

Domic

The original inhabitants of the Isk Archipelago. The Domic people and their culture merged with the Iskandean society during its infancy, and many traits can be traced back to pre-conquest of the islands.

Origins

The Domic peoples trace their origins to early Waejir, from whence they travelled North East across the Torcastan Sea to settle the islands of the Isk Archipelago.
Primary Culture
Iskandean, some revival of the original Domic culture in isolated pockets, in resistance to the erasure of their history.

Almost exclusive to Iskander

General Appearance

Treahni with a much swarthier complexion and a stockier stature than the Krolaryn descendant people of the islands. Domic people also tend to have blue and green eyes, with blonde hair.

Iskandean

People of krolaryn ancestry whom immigrated to the Isk Archipelago. Iskandeans tend to be fair and taller than their Krolaryn ancestors. Some mixing with the Domic peoples who were living in the archipelago prior to their arrival has occurred, but their is still a distinction between the two groups.

Origins

Iskandeans are a recent diaspora of Krolaryn peoples. They trace their origins back to Krolar, and the Arkian Peoples before them.

Krolaryn

Descendants of the Mytho-Historical People of the Ark. Krolaryns are of average build, a fair complexion, with reddish hair and dark brown or hazel eyes.

Krolaryns are descendants of the Arkian peoples who remained in the general region of their ancestors.

Kronar

The Kronar are a tribal people who resemble their Krolaryn ancestry, in all but size. They tend to be taller, and leaner than most other Treahni.

Origins

The Kronar descended from the People of the Ark, the migrated Northward to dwell on the northern coast of Annexea.

Kythan

People from Kythus tend to have soft features, but a range of complexions and colouration.

Origins

Descendants of Arkian origin, who trace their migration westward around the Northern end of the Darlom Mountains, these people settled further south along the coast than the Layor, but share common ancestry and some cultural norms.

Layor

Origins

The Layor trace their roots back to Krolar, having emigrated nearly a thousand years before the empire's collapse. They are taller and more robust than their Krolaryn ancestry would indicate.

Most Layor are found in the northwest corner of Annexea in a region claimed by the people, and various clans making up the whole. Some Layor live in the Kingdom of Kythus in the northern province of Karelëa

Malys

Origins

The Malys are primarily of Arkian descent, although ethnic mixing with Imperial descendant peoples immigrating from the south has occurred.

Quzonian

Origins

The Quzonian people trace their roots back to Pre-Waejiran people, whom migrated north and west.

Quzonians are mostly found within the borders of their nation Quzonia, however some Quzonian people do live within the Empire of Waejir, most notably in the annexed region surrounding the town of Akiadur.

Ru-Pani

Origins

The Ru-Pani are mix of many different ethnic groups. Their origins vary from the multitude of modern cultural and ethnic groups found along the shores of the Torcastan Sea..

The majority of Ru-Pani retain their nomadic culture, and sea going life on the Torcastan Sea, although some may have taken to more permanent settlements on small isolated islands.

General Appearance

Physically the Ru-Pani tend to resemble a blend of ethnicities. Those who have intermarried amongst the Ru-Pani over several generations resemble a blend of ethnicities, whereas newer additions will more closely resemble their specific ethnic origins. Years of living on the Torcastan Sea have given them a weathered look often appearing to be many sols older than they actually are.

Origins

The Tabrani people are descendant from Krolaryns who travelled further west and south.

Tak-Mi-Lah

Origins

The Tak-Mi-Lah trace their origins to Pre-Waejiran people. They travelled north from the early settlements and retained their nomadic lifestyle.

The tak-Mi-Lah are generally found in the bounds of their traditional tribal territory in the Plains of Tekara, and foothills of the Darlom Mountains to the west.

General Appearance

The Tak-Mi-Lah are quite short compared to their neighbours, and carry the tanned/reddish complexion of a people exposed to the sun.

Waejiran

Origins

Direct descedants of Imperial ancestry the people of Waejir spread outwards from the early settlements in all directions.

The people of Waejiran descent fall in a wide range of appearances, due in part to the cosmopolitan nature of the Seven Cities.
