Alleged to be one of the first spellsingers of the Sildaryn. Neelam is attributed with teaching the Sildaryn to live in the canopy houses, befriending the first Tomka, and beginning the domestication of Karo fruit. He is a recurring figure in mytho-historical parables taught to children, and most of these stories are centered around his childhood and young adult years.
