First Appearance
- Early belief is Baileia began with nomadic peoples in the Waejiran desert. Working as caravanners and merchant traders regularly travelling between more established peoples, they called upon their faith for protection of their way of life, and for safety while travelling beyond the borders of the desert. Originally seen as a benevolent mother figure, and a traveler herself, Baileia rose in prominence to a minor deity status and was integrated into the greater pantheon of the united Waejir a few centuries before the founding of the empire.
Baileia
- Other Names
- Baileia
- Baileia is the Waejiran goddess of travelers, roads, and paths. She was born of Vorsha and fathered by Kaithur. It is Baileia who tricked her brother Qeisar into stealing the secret of the wheel from Vorsha, which she then shared with the Treahni. Baileia is usually depicted as a woman in travelling clothes with a walking staff, and a wagon wheel.

Tenets of the Faith
- Hospitality
- One of the primary tenets of the faith is to provide charity and welcome to travelers. This includes all types, although tends to be focused on the poor and destitute as those with wealth can manage without the support. As part of this practice, shrines and small temples to Baileia are established along major travel routes. At the terminals points, larger established ''road houses'' will welcome road weary peoples, offering simple meals, lodgings, and medical care if needed.
