Psychic power covers a wide range of innate magical abilities which can be activated through will alone by those so gifted. There are at least seventeen affinities which have be catalogued by the guild of arcanists. Within these general paths, as we choose to call them, individuals can express a number of talents which achieve related effects. There have been attempts to group paths into families, but some defy such easy categorization.
In general many people are capable of wielding magic from divine or other sources. What we refer to as psychic powers are native to the user, not channelled from somewhere/something else. And like all magic use it is generally shunned, or outright persecuted, by those ignorant to the nature of such ability.
