History

Founded
247 YG / 475 WR
The site of Greyfort was used as a stopping point for travellers and caravans using the Greystone Way for many centuries. Drolac from nearby villages would occasionally visit the site to trade with Waejiran and Corinthean merchants passing through the mountains. Eventually a few settled at the site in more permanent homes and a village was born. To date thirty five families call grey fort their home. The population is mostly Drolac farmers and hunters, with a few crafters, and even a couple of foreign tradespersons who have established shops in the village.
The village gets its name from the low stone walls which encircle the village. The walls are more of a high fence than actual defensive fortifications, but there are a few watch towers along the perimeter and a small gate house that allows entry and egress.
A small creek has been diverted to the village via a crude stone aqueduct to provide a supply of fresh water and power to the local sawmill.
