History

The leadership of Aralia is a council composed from the heads of the six most powerful families of Aralia; Originally there were only four members on the High Council. Keaf Hod'lar was the clan head of his family at the time of the council's formation. His family's wealth was largely based on silver and gemstone mines in the foothills of the Darlom Mountains to the west.

two and a half centuries later Keaf's family still retains a seat on the council. As a founding member of the council, Keaf was instrumental is establishing the nations core government, and means by which a region of small territories each ruled wealthy families and could merge into a single political and economic entity to become a significant contributor on the world stage.

Keaf himself was instrumental in creating the original rules of order used in council meetings. They have changed some since his day, but many group councils and guilds follow his model for orderly proceedings. Politically minded Aralian's consider him one of the most important historical political figures. His rules of order have even influenced the way court proceeding are handled in Aralia.
