- Vocias is a huge muscular man, who towers over most Waejirans. He is bald, with dark brown eyes, and bronze-olive skin. He tends to go shirtless, and bears many scars from lashes, blades, and claws. Vocias keeps his head shaven, and has a large scar partially covering a bronze plate in his skull.
Personality
- Vocias seems a simpleton, due in part to his lack of coherent speech, and slightly clumsy movements. This is a result of the trauma he suffered in his fighting days, but his mind is keen, and he is very alert. He has a kind heart, and is very friendly and gentle towards children and animals.

- History
- Vocias was born to agricultural slave parents, and when his owner realized just how large the lad was going to be, he was sold to some less scrupulous types for use in illegal fighting pits.
- He grew up knowing little more than wrestling, pugilism, and eventually melee fighting with blades and other weapons. His size and tenacity earned him the moniker of Vocias - Beast, a name he carries as proudly as his many scars. He had his skull fractured at the age of twenty-four by a opponent wielding a maul, which left him dumb-struck and significantly reduced his ability as a fighter; even so he still won that bout.
- His first master sold him, rather than see him die in the pits. Now Vocias works as the personal bodyguard, and shop security for Daegtios a chandler in Jaedur.
- Vocias has been a slave his entire life. He has not sought his freedom. His current master treats him well enough that he is comfortable with his lot. He expects to be with Daegtios until either of them dies. If his master passes first it is likely he would be granted his freedom in Daegtios' last will, as is common in cases where the slaves have been in long service, or were excellent servants. Usually the slaves would be inherited along with any other property by one's heir, but Daegtios has no heir.
