- The Solus dynasty is one of the founding families of Aralia. They have maintained a seat on the High Council for 251 years.

- The Solus family amassed their wealth from the import and export of textiles. Despite nearly losing their position on the council in 237 YG, due to a blight which affected the Waejiran silk harvest, one of the more staple and valuable textiles imported into Aralia. During this looming financial ruin, the Solus family arranged several timely marriages, to secure a wider resource base to their collective wealth. Since then, with a more diverse income streams they have remained remarkably stable, even weathering a similar repeat blight a few decades later. In recent years the Solus family has closely aligned with the Pashas due to mutual interests in shipping.
