- Description
- A spicy, hot flavoured mushroom found in northern climates. This fungi grows on rotten wood, be it stumps or still standing dead wood. The cap of this mushroom is 3-4 centimeters in diameter, and red-orange with white speckles. The immature mushrooms have rounded ball shaped caps, attached to the stem by a thin membrane or collar.
