- Ring Island is an arctic atoll formed around a still active sea mount. The center of the island remains ice free year round due to the upwelling of heated water from below.
Location
History
- The warm waters surrounding the island are a breeding site for large aquatic creatures. During the summer season this becomes an important hunting and fishing ground for some clans of the Layor.
