- Ison-Ilyo Vylan was slain by an unnamed assailant within months of his coronation in 319 YG. He was a particularly devout worshipper of the Twinned Goddess, who cracked down aggressively on alternative beliefs. As such it has been hypothesized, but unproven, that some cult or minority religious group arranged for the swordsman to sneak into the royal palace and kill the Ig-Itoq. The assassin escaped and no person or group claimed responsibility. The slain monarch's brother and successor, Rake-Og Vylan, was less strict about religion and reigned without any such attempts upon his life.
