The north side of the village of Hom is a gradual slope which receives a good amount of sunshine.

Hom Winery produces wine from the local grapes and cider from local apples.

Hom Winery also produces vinegar from both primary products.

Avöpëna is the son of a wine merchant in Mojres, and cousin to Ydhana.

The winery employs many of the local farmers during harvests as additional labourers.

History

Established
285 YG
The earliest winemaking in the village was produced from wild grapes found growing in the local woods. Proper fields of domesticated grapes have been a part of the village fields since 285 YG. The variety of grapes grown here produce a reasonable vintage. Local orchards supply apples for cider making.
