Description
A moderately sized coniferous evergreen tree, which grows in northern latitudes and high elevations. These trees have a distinct grey coloured bark. They grow tall and straight trunks with branches forming a flat crown at the apex. Grey pine wood is used in timber construction, and is an excellent hot burning fuel source.

Life Cycle
Grey pines bear cones which release wind borne seeds in the heat of mid-summer. These seeds sprout and begin growing in the fall, before winter.
