False Soul

- False souls are magical creations and a necessary component in the crafting of an artifact. A sorcerer wishing to imbue an enchanted object with additional castable spells must include a false soul, as a conduit for that magic. These false souls can be simple repositories for magical energy or complete personalities with more complex purposes of being. The first type simply work like a battery allowing a number of uses of the contained spell between recharging. The later type can interact with the wielder of the artifact and may require unity of purpose to allow their magic to be accessed.
- Some clever sorcerers have found other uses for false souls, but the purpose is the same. They provide a way for non-sorcerers to use magic within limits.
Imbued Artifacts
- Amaiar - A sentient enchanted sword with a purpose aligned to raising a great army.
- Golden Basin - An enchanted bowl which provides some access to spirit magics.
- Krasant Sind - A sentient enchanted dagger with a purpose aligned to hunting witches.
