- Fairfield Common is a large communal pasture in the village of Hom which is used as a fairgrounds during the annual visit by Uprewyna Duncana II in late summer. Outside of this time, it is used by the village for keeping livestock that is ready to be sold at market, or during autumnal shearing and spring birthing seasons.
Location
- The Fairfield Common is located on the western edge of the village surrounded by low drystone walls.

- A common pasture for the villages herds, and for the livestock or mounts of travellers.
- Fairgrounds
- When the annual fair occurs the pasture is cleared of livestock and is prepared for the multitude of tents and wagons.
Staff
- Herders
- Several of the villages youth work the common as apprentice herders. they are overseen by one or more of the older herdspersons who cannot travel to further pastures due to their age.
History
- The common was used for annual harvest celebrations since the founding of the village. When Duncana II was crowned as the Üprewyna of Kythus, his visits to the manor became a cause for greater celebration and draw in larger numbers of visitors from nearby villages. The popularity of the fair has grown significantly.
