About

In Waejir, when a child is born they are brought to the nearest temple of the Mother Goddes, Silat, and inspected by a priest of priestess. There is no dishonour in turning over a child in this manner; it is considered a post-natal miscarriage. Some of these children survive and are raised by the temple as orphans called the templeborn.
