The [[Pëlöryk (people)|Pëlöryk]] were amassed in great numbers and warring with all the clans of treahni in the region. A charismatic leader, and capable warrior in his own right, Sköharna convinced the other chieftains that none of them could rest until the external threat was ended for good. While they did manage to eliminate most of the beasts from within Kythus there are still some in the wild spaces, and along the borders that re-emerge periodically and need to be fought back, but never in such terrible numbers as they were in the past.
