Lepadur was a small town in a verdant valley, where a temple of Haesur was established with the clergy providing care and housing for those afflicted with various terminal ailments. The hospital was known throughout Waejir, and many would travel to live out their final days in the hospitality of the town. Lepadur had thriving vineyards and large herds of woolly teica, both of which provided sufficient income to maintain the hospital.

In the year 117 WR an outbreak of neitlumar struck the town. Initially a few afflicted arrived to the hospital, but later succumbed to the disease. Their corpses were awaiting cremation when they rose up and began attacking attendant priests. Despite the great number of persons stricken with the disease, the temple of Neithur managed to contain its spread and prevent any neitlumar from escaping to nearby farms and villages. The whole town was burned to the ground, along with all the dead, dying, and anyone injured by the hungry dead.

Several days later only smoking ruins remained of the town's buildings. The ruin was abandoned as a cursed place, and those lucky enough to have survived the chaos relocated to neighbouring towns and villages.

After several centuries of weathering, and unchecked overgrowth, the original town walls are barely visible under the growth of vines and shrubs. Few dare to enter the place for fear of re-awakening the cursed dead. It is said that wraiths of smoke and ash still roam the streets and alleys.
