- Description
- A region of badlands which marks the central portion of the Northern Desert. Eons of erosion have carved strange shapes from the hills. The layers and banding in the rocks leaves sand ranging from red through white in colour. This is a very dry region getting little precipitation throughout the year. The area still supports some plants and animals which have adapted to the extreme arid conditions.
