- Ison-Ilyo Vylan was slain by an unnamed assailant in 638 YG. He was a particularly devout worshipper of the Twinned Goddess, who cracked down aggressively on alternative beliefs. As such it has been hypothesized, but unproven, that some cult or minority religious group arranged for the swordsman to sneak into the royal palace and kill the king. The assassin escaped and no person or group claimed responsibility. The King's brother and successor, Rake-Og Vylan, was less strict about religion and reigned without any such attempts upon his life.
