- History
- Saint Edesüva the village saint of Kemp Hylaböm. In early oral tradition she was reported to be a shield maiden of the local clan about 126 BG. After losing her axe in battle, she fought only with her shield for another three hours, protecting the four young children of her liege-wife.
- Presently seen much less as a fierce warrior maiden fighting out of obligation and sworn oath, and more as a pious woman shielding the children with her own body out of moral rightness. She is considered a protector of children, and invoked to help fight childhood ailments, and watch over newborns in their early weeks. Worship of the the Twinned Goddess didn't reach Kythus before about 467 YG, so this transformation would have taken place over the last three and a half centuries.
