Ekwÿöf awoke from deep slumber. His breath quickened, heart returned to a living pace, and feeling slowly returned to his limbs.
Rising from the bed he disturbed a layer of dust which covered everything.
How long was his rest? Days? Weeks?
The window revealed that it was snowing outside.
Months!
