- The local climate is not ideal for growing grapes, however the local vineyards do grow a cold tolerant variety, allowing a modest winery operation.

- The north side of the village of Hom is a gradual slope which receives a good amount of sunshine.

History
- Established
- 285 YG
- The earliest winemaking in the village was produced from wild grapes found growing in the local woods. Proper fields of domesticated grapes have been a part of the village fields since 285 YG. The variety of grapes grown here produce a reasonable vintage. Local orchards supply apples for cider making.
