- Black Ridge Common is a underground complex of the Qulani people. It is named after the particular ridge of mountains in which they reside. Like most Qulani settlements the entire community lives in a network of carved tunnels and chambers. The common does some trading with the nearest Treahni surface settlement of Edimind, Quzonia.

- Anomalous to their typical insular culture, this particular settlement has a number of non-qulani residents. Namely, a group of self-blinded Treahni monks known as the Black Brotherhood. These monks a breakaway sect of the church of the Twinned Goddess, who have rejected material wealth and preach a life of austerity. They found sanctuary amongst the Qulani who provide them with a like-minded community and appreciation for their handicap.

- Primary food sources for the common include a subterranean lake stocked with fish, and a network of vertical well-gardens carved upwards to reach the surface of the ridge. Other items are exchanged for in trade.
- Black Ridge does produce jewelry from gem stones and precious metals, namely amethyst, aventurine, citrine, silver, and gold. Having little need for visually appealing adornments, the Qulani made items are more textural in nature.
