- Among the Kronar orphans are often fostered, or adopted by some family or another, usually one which a recent loss of a child. The newly adopted child will often be seen as the least favourite, with the foster parents favouring true offspring over the once orphaned child.

- The Kronar believe that malevolent spirits hunt during the long dark nights of winter and anyone caught will be drained of all blood left frozen for the carrion birds to find in the morning. They light great bonfires during the winter solstice to keep such spirits at bay.
