- The Crypt of Pälomokva is a small burial mound and the alleged resting place for the remains of the village saint Pälomokva.
Location
- Hom, Karelëa, Kythus
- Located approximately half a league East of the village on a hill overlooking Homcreek, is a burial mound with a stone door.
History
- Saint Pälomokva was a well respected huntress for the local clan, whom died in 120 YG. She was allegedly a capable of transforming herself into the form of a black and silver furred Olost. It is said that she hunted along side a pack of the creatures in both that form and her natural state. The crypt is a holy site for the local Kythans who will occasionally visit to invoke the blessing of Saint Pälomokva for protection and success when hunting in the nearby forests.
- Haunting
- Some who have visited the site have claimed to see the ghostly form of an Olost, with black and silver fur standing watch atop the crypt's mound. The apparition has never threatened, visitors, but has been reported to soundlessly watch them while at the site, and sometimes follow them for a short while when they depart.
