- Torgan began life as the son of a Drolac Ice Cutter in the town of Whitewall. Torgan's affinity for magic was awakened during a prolonged illness during his early years. Showing talent for psychic abilities caught the attention of Ral Denmar, a sorcerer in Fahdel's landing, and the lad was offered a chance to become an apprentice. Such talent is rare amongst the Drolac, so Torgan was treated as a curiosity by the chantry, at least until the strength of his talents became apparent and he was considered equal to his Treahni peers.
