With a piercing cry the moon falcon reeled, and plummeted.
"Why do they shriek like that, Eyga?"
Pointing, the man directed young eyes toward a pa-lokai, frozen mid-way between burrow and shrub.
The falcon struck, and rose again; Twitching prey held firm.
"Why didn't it hide?"
"Fear, Nebe. Fear."
