The Ëchëna held forth the axe, edge resting against the bare sternum of the young warrior whom knelt before him.
Chëgräna pressed his lips to metal.
"Say the words," said the Ëchëna.
"My blood and my life, to serve until death."
"Arise Chëgräna, axesworn of Ükrosh."
He stood amid cheers.
