Description

Classification: Woody, Tree, Flower, Fruit; An early harvesting apple tree that produces tasty and popular fruit with a deep red coloured skin, and slightly pink flesh. The flowers of this apple, will reappear in the fall, after the fruit has been picked, and are used for their pleasant fragrance. The wood of this tree has a deodorant quality, and will be burned in hearth-fires to remove foul smells from a house.

Distribution: Sub-tropical to sub-arctic, forests and savanna.
Life Cycle: Flowering in early spring, this fruit tree produces harvest-able fruit by mid-to-late summer. A second flowering will occur after the fruit has been harvested or dropped.

Cultivation: A frequent addition to many orchards due to the early harvest, allowing other fruit to be harvested later in the year.
