Located on a roughly circular hill and mott, the tower overlooks the harbour on the edge of hill district where it meets lake district to its south.

Council Hall

The city council meets in the original hall of the tower, to conduct regular business and governmental affairs.

Municipal Offices

The tower houses the offices of various city officials and is where citizens must go to purchase licenses and pay taxes.

History

Built in 128 YG, the tower has stood watch over the town and subsequent city, originally as the defensive fort of the local noble family. It predates the founding of Aralia by 23 years. The tower has since been repurposed as the municipal seat of city government. The city's council chambers, and several bureaucratic offices are located within the tower.

The tower suffered form a terrible fire in 248 YG, which gutted most of the interior. The interior was rebuilt by 252 YG, with an additional turret added to the southwest corner, which houses a great bell used to mark the start and end of the business day.
