- History
- Mai-lynne was born to Domic thralls on the island of Pto-Hiem, Iskander. She was orphaned at the age of nine sols when her parents died from plague. She and her younger brother stowed away aboard a Tabrani merchant vessel to escape from their miserable life. Mid-way through the sea voyage back to Tabras, they were discovered, and put to work on the ship to pay their passage. The captain took a liking to the children, and out of sympathy for their plight, adopted them as his own once they reached port. They were raised at sea through their teens and became capable sailors. As an adult, Mai-Lynne joined the royal navy and has achieved an officer's commission despite her foreign birth, small stature, and gender.
