- Cedar-like tree with hook shaped cones. Similar to Fire Claw in form, but has a more yellow colour.

- The cones are ground and used as a spice. Much more acidic in flavour than Fire Claw. Hot Claw will bring about nasal discharge, and tears. It is used to raise the apparent temperature of dishes.
