- An'n was a sailor for most of his early years. Raised in a family of sailors for several generations he plied the same trade until he started developing a hunch to his shoulders which prevented him from performing the tasks required. He pooled his meagre wealth and opened a tavern in a old fish shack near the docks. His skills as a brewer and legitimate businessman lack polish, so he supplements his income through the fencing of stolen goods, and the occasional deal with smugglers. An'n runs The Darkling with his sister who is the tavern'scook.
