Cothur's Bread - Pen and Ink by Sebastian Romu, 2018

A large ball-shaped edible fungus that undergoes rapid growth following brief heavy downpours throughout the summer months.

Rarity: Rare
Distribution: Tropical through temperate plains, savanna, and forests.
Life Cycle: Rhizome growth on or below the soil surface, with fruiting bodies rapidly growing after heavy rainfall, bursting and dispersing spores.

In Waejir, the fruiting body is considered a gift from Cothur the God of Storms and Precipitation.
