A predacious plant most known for its violent strangling and rapid trapping actions. The vine will rapidly grow when brushed, or touched with sufficient force. The resulting explosion of growth tends to leave an unwary prey trapped within constricting coils of the plant. The vines are covered in coarse hairs which irritate the skin and scratch, causing the prey to squirm, and in turn ensures further tangling. Besides its fearsome reputation the plant does have some medicinal use. The small purple flowers contain a useful diaphoretic, and pectoral agent.
