Quality: Inferior
Prices: Low; The Darkling is a low quality tavern located near the water's edge in Bay's Mouth. The building itself is in need of repair, with drafty walls, and a leaky thatch roof. It is not a place of good repute, and the quality of the food and drink is no exception. However the prices are low, and the regulars don't seem to care much.

The tavern sign depicts a black crow-like bird with a grey head cap and saddle.

Food and Drink: The Darkling serves meals and drinks of an inferior quality, at lower than typical prices.

Fence of Stolen Goods: The tavern is also a drop point for stolen goods. This ill-kept secret is overlooked by the local authorities for the occasional bribe.

Owner: An'n; The tavern owner is a retired sailor with a noticeable hump to his shoulders.
Cook: Qelo; The cook responsible for the meals served in the tavern is An'n's sister.
Other Staff: The tavern employs a pair of younger women from the community as servers.
