The Jetty is a small tavern which supplies the local fishermen of Jël with weak beer to wash down their sorrows. It also serves as a meeting hall and chapel.

Jël, Karelëa Province, Kythus

The Jetty is located at the landward end of the natural spit of land that divides the bay in two. Raised on stilts to be above the hightide line, the place is perpetually damp despite a well kept fire in the hearth.

Food and Drink

The Jetty has a variety of soups and other hearty dishes available. The local brewer makes an inferior beer, but the locals don't seem to mind.

Entertainment

Most nights someone is around to sing songs, or tell stories to the crowd.

Religious Services

The Jetty doubles as the hamlet's chapel to Peoluva. The Tavern's brewer is an ordained priest of Peoluva, who provides spiritual guidance and leads the hamlet in the faith.

History

The building the Jetty now occupies was originally a boat house holding supplies for boatmaking, and repair. When the owner passed away in 367 YG, the local village lost its only boat maker, and the new occupant repurposed the building. Operating primarily as a tavern, the Jetty also serves as the hamlet's chapel to Pëölüva, and a meeting hall for important gatherings.
