Even in Waejir there was a place for Ryla and Peolu. The foreign Twinned Goddess was permitted a shrine amongst the others.
A wizened man with Quzonian features washed the alabaster statue. He returned daily despite pity and scorn from his neighbours.
No others visited; his was a lonely vigil.
