About
- The rapid growth of Li Onas as a port has increased demand for new ships and repair work, as such the Shipwrights Guild had to increase its capacity. Maako Yards is a shipyard to the port of Li Onas that was established only ten years ago to meet that demand, and in its first decade has managed to make a name for themselves in local shipping community.
Location
- Maako Yards is located outside of Li Onas to the South of the harbour proper, on Onas Hiem in Iskander.
Services Provided
- Maako Yards has three drydocks for ships, and a dozen of small slips fishing boats.
- Shipbuilding
- Design and construction of ships is overseen by Byron Maako himself.
- Repairs
- Maako yards takes in small vessels for repairs on demand, and hold contracts for seasonal inspections and maintanence for several fleets of larger vessels.

- The shipyard employs six journeymen shipwrights. They oversee the daily construction and repair tasks.
- Apprentices
- Up to a dozen apprentice shipwrights are employed at the yards. Their duties vary with experience and current workload.
- Metalsmith
- The shipyard has a sub-contract for a master metalsmith, who crafts and repairs necessary tools, chains, nails, and hardware for ships.
History
- Founded in 792 YG, Maako Yards has several open contracts to repair fleet ships from locally based merchants, and recently attained a contract to build a half dozen new navy vessels to protect the territorial waters around Onas Hiem.
