Corrien awoke to the familiar sounds of children laughing as they scampered about trying to catch glow wysps in their hands.
Throwing off his blanket, he sprang to his feet. He drew his longknife and stared into the growing darkness beyond his firelight.
These woods were supposed to be uninhabited.
