Description

- 1-1.5 kilograms (2-3 pounds), 25 centimetres (10 inches) diameter
- Appearance
- The body of a flyx is covered by a rough pebbly textured convex shell up to 25 cm in diameter. Radially arranged around the edge are six prehensile tentacles reaching double the radius of the body. The mouth, eyes, and stubby swimming tail, are all located under the shell, at the centre of the disc shaped body.
Ecology

- They are known to exist exclusively within the Celvan river system.

- Flyx are omnivorous feeding upon algae, water plants, small freshwater crustaceans, aquatic annelids, and fish.

- Flyx are found in groups of up to a dozen.

- Skittish; Flyx will jet away and squirt clouds of dark ink to deter predators.
