Description: A tall spike flower with pairs of bell shaped red flowers along the main stem. The plant has many uses; the flowers themselves are excellent in combating odours, and the root finds use as a galactagogue. The leaves are used in cooking as an antiscrofulous and sweet flavour. The leaves also work as an aperient.
