Overview
- Bred exclusively by the Waejiran Breeder's Guild, Vocanei are found throughout Waejir, where these bipedal beasts have been domesticated for various tasks. They are intelligent enough to understand treahni speech, and have a proto-language of their own. Vocanei are strict carnivores.
Origins
- According to legend the Vocanei were gifted to the Treahni by the gods in the fabled city of Vocadun, which now lays as forgotten ruins in the southern Waejiran Desert. Some scholars note similarities between the Waejiran vocanei and the savage Pëlöryk found elsewhere suggesting a common ancestor species.
General Appearance
Vocanei are canid in their features, are furred, have large eyes and pointed ears. Their hands have square palms, three fingers and a thumb, ending in short thick claws. Their feet are digitigrade, with three equal toes and a fourth dew-toe higher on the inside, all with short thick claws. Most adult vocanei average between 1-1.47 metres (40-58 inches) in height, and weigh 34-54 kilograms (75-118 pounds).
