About
- Home
- Hom, Karelëa Province, Kythus
- History
- Pälomokva was a well respected huntress for the local clan, whom died in 120 YG. She was allegedly a capable of transforming herself into the form of a black and silver furred Olost. Wether this ability was due to the curse of therianthropy or some other magics is unknown to current believers. It is said that she hunted along side a pack of the creatures in both that form and her natural state.
- Village Saint
- Saint Pälomokva was revered in life for her prowess as a huntress, and her kindness in sharing her bounty with the clan. She was buried in a crypt and honoured as a hero of her people. When the Twinned Goddess religion became popularized in Kythus, the heroic figure of Pälomokva was altered to fit the religious needs of the church. She is still seen as a huntress, and still attributed with the magical ability to transform into and control wild beasts, however the source of her magic is now of divine providence, rather than some curse or sorcery. To this day people from the region still visit her tomb to pray for guidance and protection when hunting.
