- Strato Volcano
Poaras Ufiuc is a recently awakened strato volcano, which began erupting continuously in 398 YG.
Location
- Corinthea
- Poaras Ufuic - South Guard is a located on the southern end of the desert foothills of the Darlom Mountains, where a spur of the ranges diverts westward marking the southern borders of the nation.
History
- The most recent eruption from Poaras Ufiuc caused a significant ash plume, and devastated a large swathe of what forests grew upon its slopes. Historically, the mountain was believed to be inhabited by elemental spirits whom protect the Corinthean peoples from whatever threats may lurk on the other side of short chain of mountains demarking their southern border. These spirits were personified as minor deities in the early religion, but have fallen in status much like Corinthean city totems. The recent awakening of the volcano has some Corintheans concerned that they may have angered these spirits, or that a new significant threat is encroaching from the south.
