Overview
Every late summer the Üprewyna of Kythus, Duncana II, visits Hom, a small eläëdhë, held in his name by his cousin, Cëruna hyHom. These annual visits are cause for celebration and coincide with the fall harvest of grapes from the local vineyards. Merchants and producers come from across the region to network and sell their wares. Knights and soldiers come to compete in martial contests. Common folk come for the spectacles. This festival has only been celebrated in its current form for three years, being a more subdued harvest festival prior to the current Üprewyna's coronation. Even then, the young royal still visited his estate, and attended the annual fair.

Religious

The first day of the festival is a holy feast and thanksgiving to the Twinned Goddess for the harvest and continued health and prosperity of the monarch.

Cultural

A village fair and tournaments are held in honor of the monarch's visit. These celebrations grow a little more elaborate and popular each year. Last year's celebration included jousting, a grand melee, and an archery contest. Traditionally, the champion of each contest may ask the monarch for a favour in addition to any monetary prize. It is said that the Üprewyna cannot refuse the requests, however, those asking for favours are expected to keep it within reason.
