History

- Originally a camp for ice carvers who cut ice from the face of the White Head glacier, the town has grown to its current size and composition slowly over the past twenty five years. a small number of Sildar Qulani surfaced from the nearby mountains and have taken residence in the town, working as engineers and masons.
