Pëlöryk Band
Description
The Splintered Arrow are a band of Great Pëlöryk dwelling in the Kythan wilderness. The tribe has adopted a standard of sorts, comprised of a arrow, bent to the point of breaking pierced through a hanging ragged spruce green cloth, originally the cloak of a fallen Arögoth hyVykrupëlabüsna. They rarely send out raiding parties to attack isolated treahni settlements, but will kill treahni hunters, trappers, and others who stray too close to their home.
Typical members are armed with antler or stone tipped spears, short bows, clubs, antler picks or daggers, and stone axes. The most capable warriors might wield iron or steel weapons stolen from treahni they have killed. Armour worn by the tribe is typically tanned hides, leather, or kurbul, although more sophisticated material pieces captured as prizes will be worn by higher status members.

The Splintered Arrow tribe live in a complex consisting of a warren of limestone caves and a few above ground earth covered lodges several dozen leagues north-east from the town of Kemp Hyläböm.

History

This tribe has lived in the same warren for upwards of fifty years. the original caves have been expanded, and the above ground lodges increased in number and size during the decades. Being sufficiently distant from the nearest treahni settlement has allowed them to prosper without gaining enough attention to be targeted for extermination.
In recent years they have become emboldened by their numbers, with a need to range further a field to find prey. This has brought them into more frequent contact with treahni, including a few attacks on small caravans of travellers. the added wealth of treasures gained from these attacks has raised the chief's status. Given the nature of Pëlöryk social order the chief is somewhat forced to maintain this trend of wealth acquisition, thus more daring raids are likely to continue.
One particular treasure acquired from these attacks is an enchanted golden basin currently in the possession of the tribe's shaman.
