- The Earth Maw is an exceptionally wide and deep sinkhole which appeared in Quzonia during the spring of 784 YG. What began as a small hole in a pasture, eventually consumed most of a village, and is now a 350 meter diameter, and seemingly bottomless pit.
- at the time of its formation, it was believed to be the work of dangerous elemental creatures, but every team of soldiers who descended into the pit to stop them failed to locate anything responsible for creating the hole, just a network of limestone caves, and the original debris pile, and the corpses of dead livestock which fell into the pit.
- In the years that followed, it slowly grows every spring,a s more of the rim crumbles with spring rains into the open pit.
